Skull Flower Bouquet

I made this flower bouquet with items that I purchased at the dollar store (Dollar Tree). The supplies cost less than $5 and it took about 10 minutes to make. Now I have a new Halloween décor item!

Supplies:

  • Small glass vase.
  • Bag of small plastic skulls (there were 8 in the bag).
  • Silk/fake flowers of your choice. I wanted a sunflower look and found red ones that had 4 flowers on each stem. I purchased 2 of them.
  • Tulle and a small piece of ribbon.
  • Scissors and hot glue gun (you could totally use other glue if you don’t have a hot glue gun).

Steps:

  1. I pulled the flowers off of the stems and cut the small connectors off. I wanted the flowers to be facing out vs straight up.
  1. I then glued each of the flowers back on to each stem so they were facing outward.
  1. I then applied some glue to the back of a skull and placed it in the center of the flower. I applied one at a time until all of them had been applied.
  1. I then arranged the stems in the case the way that I wanted them. This was wayyyy too easy.
  1. I then took two long pieces of tulle. One was red and one was black and the pieces were about 3 feet long.
  1. I put one piece on top of the other and then began toI scrunch/gathered the tulle in my hands.
  1. I then wrapped the gathered tulle around the vase and tied it on with a piece of ribbon!

I love how it turned out and it was super easy! I have mine on a side table in my living room but was thinking that I could make several if I needed center pieces for multiple tables.

I hope that you have found some inspiration in this project and have a Happy Halloween!
